The Garden Design Process

If you have plans to change part or all of your garden you can rely on our garden landscaping team to transform it to suit your taste and lifestyle and make the most of your outdoor space.

The process begins with a free consultation meeting to view your garden and understand your requirements to enable us to quote the design work. At this stage we talk about what budget can be put towards the transformation. It also gives us the opportunity to present the Charles Hogarth Landscapes team to you and show more examples of our work.

On approval of the garden design quote and a realistic budget we revisit to carry out a full site survey, noting boundaries, heights, what stays, what goes and then spend more time getting to understand the site and what you hope to achieve.

Our classically trained and experienced in-house garden designer then sets about creating your dream garden 'on paper'. We present initial ideas and plans and make any adjustments before moving to the final garden design.

The final garden design can be displayed on a computer as a 3D image to help you visualise your new garden and at this stage the garden construction work can be quoted, including a garden lighting plan.

On approval to proceed, a date is set for construction. This is the stage we also produce a detailed planting plan and provide a cost for the plants. Once we arrive on site, we don’t leave until the job is done – and we work in just about all weathers (except snow!) to endeavour to keep to schedule.
