planting - mediterranean feel

Mediterranean style planting is particularly suited to drought conditions so is ideal for creating low maintenance gardens in our changing climate. Drought-tolerant plants are cleverly adapted to thrive in hot dry spells with little or no maintenance, giving you that relaxing holiday feeling in your own garden.

Many grey or silver-leaved plants, grasses and succulent species are cleverly adapted to be drought tolerant, such as lavenders, olive trees, sempervivums and sedums. Perennials such as Achillea also work well in hot dry planting schemes to add beautiful colour and transport you back to the Mediterranean.
