The garden design brief

Before this garden transformation the space was occupied by two huge concrete ponds that were leaking. The owners decided it was time for a change and being keen gardeners wanted to make best use of the space and introduce new planting.

The approach

We spent days drilling concrete to remove the ponds and make space for our new design for a formal traditional terrace. The end result was well worth the effort.

The garden construction materials and planting

A brick circle with matching sundial leading to a rose arch provides the perfect focal point from the house. Surrounded by light, tumbled sandstone the terrace has a worn traditional look with a beautiful variation in colour typical of most sandstones.

The result

Framed by traditional planting that is lit at night, this traditional English garden terrace provides plenty of planting space to occupy the owners' passion for plants.
